This is the Christmas Tree on Temple Square lit up with the star on it. I just thought that it was really pretty and took a picture of it. I have alot more pictures of Temple Square that I could put on my blog. I just saw my old Beehive advisor down here in Salt Lake I serve with her mom. But it's really cool to be down here and find out that I know some of the people that I serve with. I will be putting more pictures on here later probably today. Enjoy the pictures that I have put on here already. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2010.

This is Sisters Compton, Drake, Bohnstedt one night on Temple Square after work. We just wanted to take some pictures of us. So we got someone to take our picture that was on Temple Square. And next week I will have some more pictures probably of my family on Temple Square when they come down to get me on Wednesday to go home for Christmas. And I will put them on here next Friday while I am home with my family. We were right in front of the Temple too which was really cool and with all the lights on too behind us. Enjoy the pictures that I put on here this week. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2010.

This is Ashley Taylor, Sis Drake, Sis Compton, Sis Bohnstedt, Sis Anderson at the mall eating lunch with Ashley when she was down here in Salt Lake for a week. We were having fun with her while she was here. We were having a blast with her during that week. She was just visiting Salt Lake for a week and she went home on Friday December 17th. But we were hanging out with her every day after work and on our P-day and then we would walk her home to her hotel every night. This was on our P-day last Friday I think. I don't remember when this was taken but I know it was the last week. Enjoy!!

This is Elder Sessions, Elder Baird at the North Visitors Center on a Sunday after Music and the Spoken Word. We were all hanging out and we went and watched a movie. It was Sister Elkins, Me, Elder Sessions, Elder Baird, Elder Bradshaw after Music and the Spoken Word. We had tons of fun. And we took pictures by the Christus too. But that was way fun. We all are friends. We all like hanging out with each other. But now we can't hang out with the Elders. But that was one of the last times we hung out together before they changed the rules on us by saying that we can't hang out anymore. I hope that you all Enjoy!!!

This is Elder Bergmark, Elder Sessions at their zone social. Their last zone social in December. I went to it with Sister Bohnstedt. Elder Bergmark played his guitar of course John Denver. And Elder Sessions played his violin which was really good. I actually recorded it on my camera. We all got pictures of them because it's their last one since they leave the same week. I really enjoyed going to their zone social. I had tons of fun going to it. They had some really good food there too besides the entertainment. I hope that you guys really enjoy this picture of these two Elders. Enjoy!!!

This is my penguin from Sister Bohnstedt for Christmas. I always have it on my bed in the mornings and I always have it at night. I would tell you why I always have them but I would rather not cuz it's just kind of personal. We saw it at Smith's one time when we went shopping and she got it for me for a early Christmas present. And I always have it with me now. I hope that you all enjoy this picture of my penguins that are on my bed on my pillow. I always love penguins. I collect penguins. I think that they are really cool. I have alot of stuff with penguins besides stuffed animals. I have socks, watch, earrings, cups, bookmark, blanket, and some other stuff with penguins on them. Enjoy!

These are penguins in my room down here in Salt Lake. I have added 2 penguins since I've been here over a year. But I got them from my roommates for Christmas this year. I have more penguins back home in Logan too but I don't have them all down here and I am going to take all but 2 penguins home to Logan when I go home for Christmas this year so that I can get rid of them and put them in my room back home. I love penguins as you can tell. And one of the Elders in my zone says that I need to be transfered to Antarctica just so that I can be with the penguins. But he was just kidding about it cuz he was laughing. Anyway I hope that you enjoy this picture of my penguins. Everybody that knows me knows that I love penguins.

This is a group of the Young Missionaries together in the 3rd floor break room for a party for Sister Taylor the day before she left to go home. In this picture are: Elders Allred, Bergmark, Sessions, Watkins. And Sisters Evans, Kohler, Anderson, Bohnstedt, Elkins, Compton, Taylor in front. We told Sister Taylor that it was a photo shoot. So that she wouldn't get suspicious. And I think that it worked. But yea we had tons of fun that day! And we were laughing and talking and eating food and we of course took pictures because that's what Taylor thought that it was a photo shoot so we had to take pictures. I hope that you enjoy this picture. I will update it later this week hopefully. Enjoy!

This is Sister Taylor, Sister Bechtol, Sister Bohnstedt smiling for the camera before Sister Taylor left. We were all in the back of the Main floor office again for the party that we had for Taylor. We were all having fun together as usual. And in the background is Elder Maynes on the computer doing his stuff like a usual AZL does in the back by getting stuff done that needs to be done. Which is alot of stuff according to everyone else that works in my zone. And I love being here on the mission. I can't believe that I have been here a year already. It's gone by fast. I have about 5 months left on my mission well actually 23 weeks left to be exact. But it's been a great experience so far for me the past year. I have made tons of friends and helped a lot of people find their ancestors. It's been great to be down here serving in the Family History Library on Temple Square in Salt Lake City. I hope that you all enjoy this picture.

This is Sister Capner, Elder Maynes, Sister Compton, Sister Bohnstedt on Taylor's last day at the library before she left to go home. We through her a party in the back of the Main office and had some desert. And Sister Wirth made a cake and brought it and she said to let all your friends know and so I told everyone that I could to come and have some cake and stuff down in the Main floor office. Which was really fun with everyone there. We were taking pictures almost all night. And Taylor was saying good bye to everyone and we were all talking and having fun and reminscing about the good old times that we had together in the zone. We had a blast that day. We are always having a blast together. And Taylor made Sister Bohnstedt smile for once by saying something that she knew would make her smile. And of course it worked. I hope that you all enjoy this picture of us. I have a whole lot more where that came from. Enjoy!

This is Sister Taylor after I did her hair on Sunday I think it was. I don't remember for sure. But I think that it was Sunday. I am always doing her hair like this or somethinng else. And everyone likes it when I do it. I'm going to miss doing her hair when she leaves me in about 2 weeks. She and I are best friends. We have been since I got here 11 months ago it's almost been a year since I' ve been here. It's gone by so fast. Doesn't she look cute with her hair like that. I do such a good job with her hair. I am thinking about doing hair for a living after my mission. Well that's what everyone says that I should do after my mission is do hair because I am so good at it. I don't know for sure yet if I will. But I hope that you enjoy the picture. I will update this more later on tonight. Enjoy!

This is another one of my wonderful pics in my room. Sorry I have alot of these ones. I was trying to get another pic on here but it wasn't the one that I wanted. So I really hope that you guys enjoy this picture too. I will put another one up here too hopefully. My family had a great time doing this for me for my birthday as you can tell. I really hope that you guys enjoy the pictures on here. I will update this again in a week. Enjoy!

This is another one of my wonderful room after my family decorated it. They were having so much fun doing it too. I didn't want to take it down after my birthday was over but I did anyway. I had tons of fun popping all the balloons too. And then I had fun taking down all the decorations. That's why I took alot of pics while they were up before I took them down so that I could have a memory of them and of how it looked before. I really hope that you guys enjoy these pics on here. I know that I have alot of them. Anyway Enjoy them.

This is another one of the many pics of my room after my family came down for my birthday and decorated it. I had to take alot of pics of it so that people could see them. So I really hope that you enjoy them. They are really cool too. My family had a lot of fun decorating my room for my birthday when they were down here. You can see all of my wonderful pics that I have on my wall in my room too. And you can tell that I like Penguins too probably and that I have a pic of my dog on my wall too. He is really cute and his name is Louie. I have tons of pics on my wall in my room. I don't like having a bare wall with nothing on it. So I have to have alot of stuff on my wall so that it doesn't look ugly. Enjoy!

This is my room after my family decorated it for my birthday when they came down in September. They had tons of fun decorating it too as you can tell. It was way bad when I saw it. But now it's back to the way that it was before they decorated it. I know that they had fun doing it and surprising me too at the same time. I didn't have any idea that they were coming down to see me. They only talked to Sister Taylor and she told everyone else about it except for me. And when we got home that day from going shopping they were there hiding and when we came through the door I saw my sister's friend Bianca hiding behind Taylor's wheelchair and I knew it was her too because she is only one that is really skinny and blonde . But it was way fun for me to see my family there. We hung out and went to dinner too at JB's. I had a blast with them. And I got presents too. It was great fun. Enjoy!

This is my sister Whitney when she came down to see me for my birthday in September. She is laying next to a picture that my roommate Sister Bohnstedt drew of Edward Cullen from Twilight. My sister loves Twilight she is obsessed about that movie and the books. I think that she might have all the books but I don't know for sure. I know that she has all the Harry Potter books now. But now she is getting obsessed about Twilight. I don't see why but oh well. She can like whatever books she wants. And she now has 2 pierced ears. She got them pierced again and she isn't going to church anymore. She is getting more and more less active in the church for some reason and I need to get her to come back to the church again somehow. But I will have to think of a way how to get her to come back. But that's another story. She is now 18 years old and she is a adult well not really but she thinks that she is. Anyway Enjoy the pics.

Friday, September 25, 2009

This is Sister Taylor and Me (Sis Compton) when my parents came down for my birthday party last Friday September 18th. They came and surprised me. And Taylor knew about it the whole time because they were talking to her for the past 3 weeks about it. And I didn't have a clue until we got home from shopping that day because it was P-day and then when we got back home they were all hiding so that they could surprise me. And boy did they surprise me. I was with my family the whole day after that. We went out for dinner at JB's that night and it was tons of fun. And I got presents too from them and we had cake and ice cream and we talked for a long time and they even bought me some food and some dishes from home so that I could have them when Taylor leaves in October. Anyway Enjoy the pics of me and my wonderful family.

It was Mexican style too as you can tell by the hats. It was wonderful and cool. They are really funny too. They were singing La Bamba but I tried to record it but it was too dark for my camera. So I got pics of it instead. Hope that you all enjoy them. Enjoy!!!!!!

This is Elder Daines at the Dinner with us before the Pageant. He is one of a kind. He is one of the coolest Elders that I know. And I just found out that I am related to him too. It's crazy. I am related to 4 of the Elders here on the mission. There is Elder Daines, Elder Baird, Elder Sesssions, Elder Bloomfield. Which is crazy but cool. And I found out earlier this year that I am related to the Rindlisbachers from Amalga. That's cool. They aren't on the mission anymore but yea they are cousins by blood. I was happy. Anyway it's great down here on the mission. I love what I do down here especially helping the people find their ancestors and to see their faces is priceless. Enjoy the picture of the funny Elder Daines.

This is Sister Taylor acting funny at the dinner before the pageant. She is always being funny like that. That's what I like about her. She is always making me laugh even though we don't get along sometimes. But we still are friends no matter what goes on between us. And she is going to be leaving me in October to go home to Montana. And then when she leaves I will have just about 6 months left of my mission which will be weird but it will go by fast. I know it will go by fast. It has already gone by fast for me the past 10 months almost. It's crazy. But I really love it down here. Enjoy the wonderful picture of my wonderful roommate and companion.

This is Me at the dinner before the Pageant. We were havin fun takin pictures of everyone that was there from the mission. We pretty much had almost all of my group that I came in with and more. So I took it. Sorry that I am not in it. I just didn't feel like being in it so yea. Anyway I hope that you guys enjoy it. We are always having a blast together no matter where we are or who we are with or what we are doing together. They just look so cute in their outfits. I had to take it. So hope that you like it and enjoy it. Enjoy!!!!!!

This is Sister Elkins, Me at the July Hail and Farewell at the church house just being weird as usual. I look like a wacko person on some kind of medicine. LOL. We were just goofing off as usual. We are always doing that no matter where we are or what we are doing. We are just really random people most of the time. It's crazy sometimes. Enjoy the picture!!! If it scares you then I'm sorry. I tend to scare people sometimes. LOL. That's just the way that I am sometimes. We are having a blast as usual too.

This is the whole family in front of the Logan Temple after they got married. They have a lot of family and friends that were there. They looked really happy together too. And I even got to meet the groom at my mission farewell because Erin brought him with her and he seemed nice to her and he really knows how to treat her. I am glad that she found someone that knows how to treat her with respect and knows how to make her laugh. Enjoy the picture!!! I would name everyone in the picture but that would take too long. LOL

This was taken at my friend Erin's wedding on June 27th in Logan at the Temple. This is her family. They have gotten really big since the last time I saw them. I was really glad that I got a chance to go to her wedding it was so much fun to go to it and see some of my friends from high school that I haven't seen in a long time. They feel like family to me but they aren't. The happy couple are very cute together and I am glad that Erin found someone to make her happy. Enjoy the picture.

This is Elder's Redd, Daines, Kerstin Hansen a RM that was on the mission. She came down because it was Elder Redd's last Sunday on his mission before he went home. And so her and her mom came over to the apartment after church and made us dinner which was good and fun to just talk with her and the Elders. And that day happened to be Sister Bohnstedt's birthday too so I made her a birthday cake and we all sang Happy Birthday to her and we even had Elder and Sister Rumsey there too and so we had a party that night and we had a Visiting Teaching/ Home Teaching lesson by Elder Rumsey. Which was really good as always. We were having fun catching up on things that have happened since Kerstin left in December. We had a blast. Enjoy!!!!!

This is Sister's Anderson, Compton, Elkins, Taylor, Bohnstedt at Temple Square having a blast together taking pictures everywhere we can go. We have one more Sister that lives with us but she didn't want to come with us and her name is Sister Snyder. And we always try to go to Temple Square as much as we can before Sister's Taylor and Snyder go home in October of this year. It will be really sad when they both go home together. But when they leave I will be Senior Companion to all of the other Sister's that come into the mission and that live down town. As you can tell we are having a blast together like always. There is never a dull moment in the Sister's apartment. Well sometimes but not all the time. Just every once a couple of months. Enjoy this picture of us being Sister Missionaries.

This is my cute Louie at home. He is always cute as can be. He is a year old now. And I can't believe how big he is getting. When I got home for my sister's graduation he was going crazy when I walked in the door he kept following me everywhere I went and he even wanted me to play with him cuz it's been a while since I have played with him. And everyone loves Louie. He is the cutest dog in the world. And I have another dog at home too but she is getting old so we will probably be putting her down pretty soon. Even though I really don't want too but she is pretty old and she is having problems seeing and she is getting lazier by the day. So I will be really sad when they put her down but I probably won't be here when they do it. So it will be good for me not to be here when they do it. It will be the second dog that we have had to put down in less than 5 years. Enjoy my cute puppy Louie.

This is when I went home for my sister's high school graduation in June of 2009. And this is her with her friend that was graduating the night after she did from Logan High School. My sister graduated from Mountain Crest High School. And I had tons of fun when I went home for her graduation. I got to see a lot of my friends from high school that I hadn't seen in a while. And before this picture was taken they were crying you can kind of tell by the look on their faces they are red. But it was a good time to everyone there and I also learned that my principle was retiring that day too so they had a lot to say about him. And it lasted for 2 1/2 hours the graduation because of his retirement. But it was good to see everyone there and be with my family too. I loved going home for it. Enjoy!!!

We love hanging out together and working together. Enjoy!!

This is a great picture of the Salt Lake Temple with the trees in front of it. I just had to take it while I was standing there. It was a really cool picture. We were having a blast on Temple Square with our apartment. We are always going to Temple Square to hang out and chill. It's a blast. And cuz it feels really good outside that's one of the reasons why we go to Temple Square all the time after work or just on our P-day's. We love going to hang out and when we do that we are always just laying on the grass cuz it feels really good. So yea and we are just talking all the time too and having fun and seeing all the crazy people on Temple Square. Enjoy!!!

This is Sister Taylor on our balcony just pretending to jump cuz her foot got stuck in the side and she couldn't get it out and I really wanted to take a picture of her stuck in the balcony of our apartment it was really funny. And this was taken on a Sunday afternoon after church. We were having fun and we were going to go to Temple Square to hang out for a while before our Home Teachers/Visiting Teachers came over which are Elder and Sister Rumsey. They are really cool and funny. Enjoy the picture of my wonderful companion being silly.

This was taken at Conference when it was getting over with the last session too. There in the front is Elder Packer's son. That's the only one that I know in the picture. But I wanted to take a picture of them all leaving the Conference Center after the last Conference Session. We had a blast on Conference we were sitting up close and personal with them kind of. We were the 2nd row from the front which was really cool. Enjoy!!!!

This was taken at General Conference in April of this year. In the picture there is Sister Elkins, me, Sister Taylor, Elder Redd, Elder Daines we were right near the front of the Conference Center for Conference too which was really cool. We got to see Elder L. Tom Perry walk by us and he talked to us too for a little bit. And we got to see the Quorom of the Twelve too close and personal. We were the 2nd row from the front which was sweet. We had a blast there too. This was the last Conference for Elder Redd cuz he leaves in June. But yea we were having fun as you can tell. Enjoy!!!!!

This is Sister Taylor after we came home from Music and the Spoken Word one Sunday morning when we had a big storm. We called her a snow man that day cuz she was covered in snow. But yea I decided to take a picture of it before we shook it all off of her. And before we went back up to our apartment. She looks really cold too with all of that snow on her. But she got all warm after we took off her coat when we went up to our apartment. She was really willing for me to take the picture of her before we went up. She looks so cute too. Enjoy the picture.
This is my bedroom in my apartment with all my penguins on it. As you can tell I love penguins. They are my favorite animal besides dogs. But yea. And as you can tell I have a picture of my dog on my wall too by my bed. I got that from my sister back home. She sent it to me through email. And yea anyway. I love penguins alot. And my whole apartment knows that I love penguins. And everytime I ask my parents to send me some stuff from home I tell them to send me some more penguins too. I still have some more penguins at home in my room. I don't have all of them here yet. I will probably have them all down here by this year sometime. And I have another year left on my mission. It has really gone by so fast. I can't believe it. Anyway enjoy looking at my penguins and my picture of my dog on my wall.
This is Sister Taylor with all the groceries on the back of her wheelchair on one of our P-days when we went to Smith's to go shopping for food. We wanted to take a picture of it before we took everything off of her wheelchair. So yea this is the picture. Hope you all enjoy it. We were having fun that day when we were going home after we were done shopping. Everyone was looking at us and laughing too because of all of the groceries that we had on the back of her chair. But other than that it was tons of fun going shopping and then putting the groceries on the back of her chair. We carried some of the stuff like things that weren't heavy and some of the other stuff that wouldn't fit on the back of her chair. So we didn't have everything on the back of her. Enjoy the picture.

This is my cousin with his wife. He just got married on May 2nd in the Logan Temple. I just hope that you can see it. Sorry if you can't see it very well. I scanned it into the computer at my apartment and then I saved it on my flash drive. My cousin's name is Andy Croft he is a RM he served in the West Indies mission. I don't know what his wife's name is at the moment sorry. Hope that you enjoy this picture. This was taken by the Logan Temple that's what it looks like to me anyway. My cousin is my age. I am just older than him by a couple of months I think. Enjoy!!!!

This is Sister Taylor and Elder Savage again on Temple Square in December having fun with Kerstin Hansen and her family cuz it was her last day there. And so we were all hanging out on Temple Square before she left to head for home. We had a blast like we always do when we are hanging out with everyone in the mission. That was a blast especially just walking around Temple Square just having a blast with everyone and talking and just chatting about life and stuff. It's a blast. Enjoy!!!!

This is Sister Taylor and Elder Savage during Christmas Time and before I actually left in December. We were having fun with Sister Hansen cuz this was taken on her last day with us here on the mission. It was taken on a Sunday night. And so I wanted to take a picture of Taylor and Savage having fun together on Temple Square on December 7th. Which was Kerstin Hansen's last day. We were all hanging out on Temple Square after we had dinner at our apartment which was really good by the way. Thanks for everything Kerstin.

This is The Mormon Tabernacle Choir on a Sunday morning for Music and the Spoken Word in the Conference Center actually. I love hearing them in person and not just on a cd or on the radio. It's better than hearing them on the radio or on a cd. They are better in person. I love going to hear them perform either in the Tabernacle or in the Conference Center. They are really good. And I know a couple of people in the choir from Cache Valley actually. So it's great going to hear them every Sunday. Enjoy!!!

This is the Christis in the North Visitors Center on Temple Square. I wanted to take a picture of it cuz I really like it alot and I wanted to have a picture of it. So anyway I absolutely love the picture that I took of Jesus Christ. It looks really good. And I hope that you all enjoy it as much as I have had enjoyed it. It's a great picture to have in your house or home during Christmas time especially and anytime actually you can have it in your home anytime of the year just not only at Christmas time. You can have it anytime. It's a great picture. Enjoy!!!
